- You can order the paintings either (a) framed (wooden frames are used) or (b) temporarily mounted on cardboard. You can therefore do your own framing. You would certainly save on postage. When you order a painting with board mountings you might not get the borders of that very colour shown. This depends on availability. The frames can vary slightly from the one shown (width in the region of 1 inch/2.5 cm).
- Sizes quoted are approximates, inclusive of the width of the frames or cardboard borders.
- Other than the varying sizes and prices, please note the different styles of painting and fabric media used. All these are duly stated.
- Good news. A painting can be custom-made for you. You may want to include special notes such as name or date or short captions or greetings. You can also send in your special design to our e-mail address. We will get it done for you! In this case, you must allow some variation to the original design. We reserve the right to interpret and modify it when we do the rendition.

What is Batik Canting?
Batik is uniquely South-east Asian product. Batik is made by various means such as block, screen or roller paintings or by manual technique called canting. This group of batik paintings that we're introducing to you are done by the latter method. By this method, a painter can produce unique self expressive forms of batik art pieces through creativity, skill and artistry. Basically, this technique involves drawing outlines of the design on a fabric using liquid wax funneled through a fine nozzle. The design is than coloured with colourful dyes. The paintings can either be displayed directly or framed.This beautiful painting with its golden lines of wax however has to be handled with care. Water should not be splashed on it as it is not water-proofed and it could not be directly exposed to heat as the wax will melt. Alternatively, the painting could be soaked in a chemical then boiled to fasten the colour. The colour will not run after this process. However, we will loose the beautiful golden lines.
